Robert P. Murray: Divorce Lawyer in Arlington, MA
Experienced Middlesex County attorney focused on family law issues
As an attorney practicing family law for more than 36 years and the founder of the Arlington Law Office of Robert P. Murray, I have likely encountered cases similar to yours, all of which I have handed with great care and success. These can be difficult times because separation, divorce, and property distribution are never easy for anyone. I understand how difficult divorce litigation can be, but my job is to take some of this burden off of your shoulders and relieve some of your stress. For every client, I can proudly state that I provide the same level of service and advocacy that I would give my own family.
After graduating from Tufts University, I served in the U.S. Navy in Southeast Asia for three and a half years during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from active duty, I studied education at the Pepperdine University and Northeastern University Graduate Schools of Education, receiving a Master’s Degree and Teacher Certification, respectively. Afterwards, I continued to study law at Suffolk University School of Law and received my Juris Doctor degree in 1979.
I am a sole practitioner engaged in general civil practice with emphasis on family law (divorce and domestic relations matters), estate planning, estate administration, real estate, land use and zoning matters. For a compassionate divorce attorney in Arlington, I am your resource.
Prior to opening my own firm, I served as General Counsel to Shirley Co-operative Bank (now Fidelity Co-operative Bank) from 1987 to 1997. I was also a partner at the Law Offices of Cella & Murray in Leominster, Massachusetts, practicing general civil and criminal defense law. I have experience teaching a variety of disciplines at the high school, college and professional levels, including business law and real estate at Fisher Junior College (1980–1984), advanced mathematics at the Polaroid Corporation (1976–1979), and Shakespeare and English literature at LaVerne Junior College.
